Your program

This beautiful two-day tour will allow you to visit 5 of the most emblematic and renowned Loire Valley castles. You'll have ample time to explore the attractions at your own pace while enjoying the pleasant experience of discovering the Loire Valley and its way of life.

Your chauffeur guide will share the history of each castle and reveal magnificent views of the monuments and their gardens. You'll then have the freedom to explore each castle independently, at your own pace, with the help of an audio guide. We'll make a stop to taste some fine Loire wines in a cellar.

First day

  • Château de Chaumont - Loire and its magnificent gardens
  • Château d'Amboise: Amboise was one of the favorite sites of the French kings when they transformed their country during the Renaissance. Familiar faces here include Anne of Brittany, François I, and Leonardo da Vinci (buried in the chapel of the castle).
  • Château du Clos Lucé: Leonardo da Vinci settled in this castle in Amboise in 1516, where he spent the last 3 years of his life. Discover his residence, workshops, and 40 fabulous machines.
  • Accommodation in Amboise or Tours with dinner and breakfast included in a 3* hotel

Second day

  • Château de Chenonceau: Built in 1513 by Katherine Briçonnet, successively embellished by Diane de Poitiers, Catherine de Médicis, and Madame Dupin, Chenonceau owes part of its charm to women, earning it the name "Château des Dames" (Castle of the Ladies).
  • Wine tasting in the cellars of Monmousseau. This is an essential site for oenotourism in the Loire Valley. Located just a few minutes from the Château de Chenonceau, you'll start your outdoor visit with an exceptional viewpoint over the Cher River and the famous "Valley of the Kings," which was also the largest site of troglodyte habitat in France! Then, you'll enter a universe of lights, a labyrinth of walls adorned with a myriad of stunning works of art! You'll taste wines with fine bubbles from Touraine.
  • Château de Chambord: Considered the largest and most majestic of the Loire Castles, this Renaissance gem was built at the request of François I for use as a hunting lodge. Wine tasting of a Loire wine in a cellar selected by us.
